About Dream Employers

Dream Employers is the largest public employer of choice survey in Australia that’s answered by the public. The survey isn’t limited by strict selection criteria or a select number of companies. There are no judging panels. Rather than taking an organisation’s navel gazing approach, we’ve reversed the view by looking through the eyes of everyday people.

Insync Surveys and RedBalloon are finding out who Australia and New Zealand’s Dream Employers are, year-on-year – according to the public. Not only are we revealing a yearly winners list, we dig deeper and find out why people want to work for a Dream Employer.

Looking at what makes a Dream Employer; in 2010 brand, culture and work-life balance topped the list but in 2011, the times have changed.

The top three attraction drivers that make a Dream Employer in 2011 are:

  • pay, benefits and conditions (38%)
  • work-life balance (37%)
  • culture (36%)

About the survey

The Dream Employers survey is a short three minute survey that asks 12 questions about your Dream Employer. All personal details are treated confidentially and only aggregate responses are used publically so that we can present the findings and profile the winning organisations.

We asked for a few details from respondents, like your age and gender, to delve a bit deeper into the Dream Employers landscape.
